Transport Connections Program
Campaspe Council has won Victorian State Government funding to develop a transport program across the Shire. We are consulting community members now, town by town, to find out how transport services can be improved and used more readily.
Campaspe’s Transport Project is focusing on:
- Ways to Improve services and timetables
- Improving public transport information
- Getting government reform to allow fuller use of existing buses, taxis
- Setting up local cooperative arrangements in each town to make fuller use of our buses, taxis, community cars, community buses, trains cycle trails and transit services
- Developing local transport plans to address gaps and inefficiencies.
Campaspe’s Transport Program will pay particular attention to those experiencing a transport disadvantage. It will also work with those who wish to reduce their car use to lower greenhouse emissions.
